Towards the end of every year, we are bombarded with politrickcians ad campaigns and the lies they promise to the Black communities for their votes.
Sadly, many of our people still fall for these same rehearsed scripts with the same tired lines.
How many times must we the Black communities continue to vote without getting anything out of it for our communities?
Jimcrowjoe made people think their Black skin would fall off if they didn’t vote for him, and after majority of the Black vote gets him the position of president, he forgets all about them and does nothing.
This is the same song that goes on this circus of politricks. Never do Black’s get anything of a substantial nature done for their votes or patriotism.
The government and congress members still have a hard time admitting the government's role in slavery, most would rather ignore as if it didn’t exist or act as if we should leave the past in the past; of course, this last cliché statement only applies to Black’s because this country wants the world to remember the past of the Jews.
I often wonder why the past of one people whose tragedy didn’t happen in this country is put above a people whose tragedy happened here and are still being treated as second class citizens.
What is the Black Communities getting out of voting other than a sticker?
We gain nothing of a substantial nature that will do anything to improve our lives or our communities, only empty promises from lying pink smiling faces, that comes with another four years of living in a country while our problems and issues are being swept under the rug as if they are unimportant, and irrelevant.
I will never understand the infatuation with Voting or continuing to believe in a system and government that has shown that they never had or will not only believe in Black people but see or treat them as equal citizens in this country.
Once again, we are about to witness proof that the Black vote does nothing for the Black communities as a whole and we will see another four years of us as a whole being ignored and treated as second-class citizens.
